We, at Last Chance For The
Desperate,
have been assisting the
needy

especially the elderly

because they are more often in a helpless situation, since the initiation of our organization. Our officers and participants have had experience in above activities on their own for many years, some for as many as 30 years.
Our participants have observed and have been involved with needy individuals who have been served by case management and those who should have been served. We have from time to time organized services for needy people or referred them to organizations that provide such services or a combination of both. We follow up with our clients on a regular basis as our resources permit to assure that their needs are alleviated. Each visit brings back feedback so that we are able to consider differences in needs of different cultures, languages, or any other unique situation.
If we find that the needy are not being served properly because of problems like lack of coordination of their service providers, problems with the clients physical and/or emotional abilities, we refer them either to our own specialists or other agencies or a cooperation between our specialists and other providers.
Our volunteers work extensive hours if necessary and we encourage our clients to participate in our various activities such as food
distribution in their neighborhood.
Our clients know that we are always available in case of an emergency and all have our cell or home numbers.
As part of our community support programs, we are involved in provision of basic needs for the needy. In brief, the following are the basic components of the program: Organizing acquisition of food from various donated sources. Organizing distribution of food to, as of the last count, about two thousand recipients. Managing volunteers for pickup from sources, distribution, and
delivery

to recipients.
A similar system is in place for less basic needs, such as clothing,
dishes,
furniture,
other home supplies and some
office supplies
for needy entrepreneurs who are in need and provide a useful service to the community.
We also provide consultation and referral service on an individual or entrepreneurial level whenever a need is certified.
Other services include free help for
inventors
